Love and Happiness - Felicity Jane (Jeana kit)

Hello there friends.  I am really trying to stash bust and have decided to take it by collection.  I pulled out the Felicity Jane Jeana kit and within a week I made 5 pages.  I am sharing the first of the pages today.  The photo is one that I took of Kobus when we visited my sister and her family at their holiday home in Port Owen.  The sunsets are absolutely fabulous and I love how this cut file by Paige Evans compliments the photo.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Felicity Jane (Jeana collection); Cardstock:  American Craft:  Embellishments:  Felicity Jane; Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Other:  Silhouette Cameo.

I love this cut file...and I stitched a circle on the inside of the rays.

Felicity Jane is famous for the gorgeous florals in the collections.  I fussy cut the flowers from the pattened paper.

I also love that the B side of each patterned paper has a black and white print.

I added my journaling over the fish tail banner.

Thank you for visiting my blog today♥  Have a lovely weekend.

Darling, just believe in yourself - Pinkfresh Studio (Indigo Hills 2)

Hello there my crafty friends.  I am sharing another page made with the stunning Pink Fresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection.  I am working through my collections at the moment and try to use it up.  So far I have made 6 pages with this collection and I am waiting for a few more pattern papers to use up the rest of the embellishments.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Pinkfresh Studio (Indigo Hills 2); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard:  Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2; Flowers:  49&Market; Enamel dots:  Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2;  Die cuts and puffy stickers:  Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills2; Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Mixed media:  Little Birdie Mixed media paste; Stencil:  Scrapbook Studio; Other:  Doily from my stash.
Some close ups:
This pretty paper really decides your design for you.  I love the way the stenciled mixed media paste pops on the dark blue.

I used some of the frames in the collection as layers under my photo.  I love the added texture that distressing the edges of the background combined with the stitching brings to the page.

I adore the combination of blues and purples in the collection.

The stunning puffy stickers are a perfect combination with the soft 49&Market flowers.

Thank you for visiting my blog today♥♥

Love - Pink Fresh Studio (Indigo Hills 2)

Hallo there.  I am really trying to use up a collection before moving on with the next one. If you are anything like me, you are a hoarder that wants to just keep all the prettiness sitting in your stash.  I have made a decision to get them on pages.  I completed a total of 6 pages using this collection and still have a stack of embellishments left...so I need more of the paper in this collection.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Pink Fresh Studio (Indigo Hills 2); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard:  Pink Fresh Studio; Flowers:  Celebr8; Enamel dots:  Nuvo Crystal drops (Bubblegum blush); Stickers/die cuts:  Pink Fresh Studio; Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Ink:  Distress Ink (Milled lavender); Stencil:  Crafters Workshop;  Other:  Doily from my stash.

The Laura Whitaker sketch I used:

Some close ups:
I double matted my background on some of the gorgeous patterned paper.  I love the soft lilac and blues.  I stenciled some Distress Ink through a stencil to break the white background.

A lot of pretty layers with a doily that adds some softness to the page.

I used a frame that comes around chipboard and dressed it with ink and embossing powder to add more interest and texture to the page.

Another floral cluster that combines fussy cut flowers with paper flowers.

I love how this page turned out.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope I inspired you to create pretty pages.♥

The Pagemap I used:

Some close ups:
I love a good grid and I combined black and white patterns with other colours used in the case file.  I stamped on my photos.
I stitched around each block and added the little flags to embellish.

The cute little clip that holds the black and white flag is also by Felicity Jane.

Some fussy cut flowers and the stats of our trip.

I love the combination of soft colours combined with the bold black and white patterns.

I love camping - Lady Pattern Paper (Travel Buddies)

I adore the whimsical patterned papers of the Lady Pattern Paper Travel Buddies collection. There are just so many possibilities for scrapbook pages. We love camping and I was immediately drawn to the Travel Buddies ‘Gypsy Life’ paper.
Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Lady Pattern Paper (Travel Buddies); Cardstock:  American Craft;  Chipboard:  Lady Pattern Paper; Flowers;  Prima; Enamel dots:  My Minds Eye; Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Ink:  Distress Ink (Barn Door, Gathered Twiggs); Border Punch:  XCut; Stamps:  Feed your Craft.
I decided to scrap some photos that were taken during our camping in Plettenberg Bay in December last year. I cut an 8 x 12-inch strip from this paper. I added a narrow strip of Travel Buddies ‘Cable Car’ and then chose to mat my large photo on an older Basically Textured ‘Macho Camo’ Chocolate Chilly paper. I also punched a border strip from the Chocolate Chilly paper to add next to the Cable Car paper.

I then die cut two circles from the Gypsy Life paper (clouds side) and stitched around the circles. I adhered the strips to white card stock and added stitching along the edge of the Gypsy Life paper. I matted my smaller photo with the Cable Car (aqua and pink blocks on the B side). I then fussy cut the banner from the Cable Car manufacturers strip and added it to the tops of my photos. I used a vacation stamp set and stamped a few sentiments on a pink scrap of paper and a scrap from the Travel Buddies ‘Fly’ paper. I fussy cut the stamped elements and added them to my page.

The Holy Chip! – Lost Chipboard title was coloured with Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs), the Caravan (also from the Holy Chip! – Lost Chipboard) was coloured with Distress Ink (Barn Door).

I completed the look by fussy cutting four little birds from the cut apart sheet and adding them to the embellishment clusters. The last touches were added with the journaling and a few enamel dots.

Be sure to grab yourself this gorgeous collection from your local scrapbook store.  They are so versatile and you will love it ♥

The Journey of life - CSI #291 - Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2

Hello there.  It is time for the 1st August Color Story Inspiration reveal.  I  just loved that the case file perfectly matched my most favourite Pinkfresh collection.

Supply list:  Patterned papers:  Pinkfresh Studio (Indigo Hills 2);  Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter Stickers:  Pinkfresh Studio;  Chipboard title:  Celebr8; Chipboard hot air balloon: Scrap Collections; Chipboard hearts:  Pinkfresh Studio; Flowers:  Celebr8; Enamel dots:  Pinkfresh Studio; Die cuts and stickers:  Pinkfresh Studio; Embroidery Thread:  DMC; Mist:  Prima Color Bloom (Iris); Stencil:  Prima; Othe mediums:  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Bright Gold); Other:  Silhouette Cameo cut file, doily from my stash.

The case file:
I solved the case as follows:

Scheme:  All the colours used.

Evidence:  Floral pattern, camera, hot-air balloon, flowers, gold elements, doily, hearts, label, nuvo drops.

Testimony:  I documented the Journey of life.

Isn't this hot-air balloon just the cutest thing ever?  I backed some of the flowers in the Silhouette die cut with patterned papers in the colours of the scheme.

I added mist through a stencil onto my background and matted the white cardstock on the pretty dark purple patterned paper.  The "journey" word was heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

In our family the girls are really outnumbered.  This photo of the girls was taken in our family photo shoot earlier this year.  The pretty pink flowers are by Celebr8.  I added frames and labels below the photo.

I added a doily behind the layers of the photo...and finished the page by dotting gold Nuvo Crystal drops around the page.

Please come and play along with us at Color Story Inspiration.  The challenges will have you digging through your stash, and the bonus is that you stand to win some awesome prizes.
