Yum - CSI288 - National Ice Cream Month

Hallo there friends.  I am a few days late in posting my page for the Color Story Inspiration case file 288 that went live on 1 July 2019.  I was inspired by the ice cream colours of the scheme and found some older photos of Stefan taken in 2015.  Here is my page:

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Hip Kit Exclusives, Paige Evans, Teresa Collins, Cardstock:  American Craft; Wood veneer: Hip Kit Exclusives; Chipboard:  Hip Kit Exclusives; Stickers:  Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Wood button:  Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Brads:  Simple Stories; Sequins:  Teresa Collins; Enamel dots, hearts, stars:  Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Embroidery Thread:  DMC; Border Punch: Fiskars

I used this page map for inspiration.

The case file:
I used the case file in the traditional way:

The Scheme:  All 5 colours used.

Evidence:  Patterned paper with wonky dots, stripes, ice cream themed elements, circular elements, stars, a sprinkling of sequins.

Testimony:  I documented a favorite summer ritual and my journaling reads:  "Stefan loves ice cream.  When he heard the bell ring he decided to go and fetch the ice cream vendor and bring him home.  He then picked at his leisure."

                            Some close ups:
I really loved digging into my older stash for this page.  I knew I had the perfect ice cream embellishments from an old July 2017 Hip Kit.  I stitched around the circle and layered my photos.

I found some Cocoa Vanilla border stickers and layered them below my photo.

The wonky dot paper is one of the first Paige Evans collections.

A sprinkling of sequins.

I love stitching on my pages...and I have now started to add sequins to my stitching and adore the effect they give.  I also added a sprinkling of enamel stars and dots along the stitched sequins.

Please come and play along with these awesome challenge.  You will love digging into your stash and you stand a chance to win some awesome prizes. ♥♥
