This is Home - Art from the Heart (Savannah)

Hello there.  I was so blessed when Tracy Schimper the owner of Art from the Heart gave me her Savannah and Adventure collections to play with.  I have been away and these gorgeous paper have been waiting for me.  Today I got stuck into the Savannah collection and used photos that we took during our recent trip to Cape Town.  We really spent a day playing tourist in our own country and explored the gorgeous coastline around Cape Town.  Here is my page:

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Art from the Heart (Savannah collection); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard title:  Scrap Collections; Chipboard aloe:  Room5; Flowers:  Celebr8; Ink:  Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs); Stencil:  Prima; Border Punch:  Martha Stewart; Other: Sisal.

Some close ups:
The labels, tags and little circle embellishments were all cut from the cut apart sheet.  I added some sisal behind the little circular embellishments to add texture.  I also added some swirls on the patterned paper using some distress ink and a stencil.

I just love this chipboard title and it was perfect for this layout.

I added a punched border strips in the orange rust colour on both sides of the layout.

I cut some banners to add behind the photos and the little word sentiments are also cut from the cut apart sheet.

I very seldom create 2 page layouts, but I had so many photos taken at Cape Point that a 2 pager is perfect to document our day out.

I again used the cut apart sheet to cut the little journal spot and the circular embellishment.

I stamped the date on one of the labels, added word sentiments to the photos and my layout was done.

Do you have many photos of your travels in South Africa?  Remember to get this awesome paper collection from your local scrapbook store before they are all gone.
