Lady Pattern Paper - Like a Sir collection

I simply adore this gorgeous "gentlemanly" papers and it was perfect to showcase the "gentleman" in my life.  I decided to add some Twinkle Toes (Starry Night Intense Teal) as a contrasting colour and after matting my photo on brown cardstock I added a layer of this paper behind my photo.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Lady Pattern Paper (Like a Sir, Twinkle Toes); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard title: Lady Pattern Paper; Chipboard:  Dusty Attic; Flowers:  Celebr8; Mechanicals:  Finnabair; Pearls: FabScraps; Ink: Distress Ink (Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Ground Expresso), Colorbox Chalk (Creamy Brown); Stencil: Tim Holtz (Bubble), Lady Pattern Paper; Stamp: Christy Tomlinson; Border punch:  XCut, Ek Success; Embossing Powder:  Tsukineko; Other Mediums:  Finnabair Rust Paste. Other:  Twine and beads from my stash.

For my background I framed a Twinkle Toes (Baby Hearts so Buff) with the Like a Sir (Mister Right).  I distressed the edges of the So Buff paper and punched it for added texture.  I then stamped various colours of brown inks onto the background.  I wanted even more texture and used some corrugated cardboard that I dry brushed with teal and brown acrylic paint and then tore the edges.

I layered two blocks of Like a Sir (London Town) behind the photo using both sides of the paper.  I then punched a strip of the Like a Sir (Mr Pennyworth- the camera side) and also layered it over the two blocks.  I also added another piece of painted corrugated cardboard behind my photo.

Before sticking it all down I prepared my various chipboard pieces.  The lavender sprigs were painted creme, the chipboard clock was painted teal and brown to tie in with the painted corrugated pieces.  The script chipboard and the "Gentleman" title was heat embossed with copper embossing powder.  The gears where treated to rust paste.

I also used some Finnabair mechanicals and finished my page with a few pearls and a flower.

I layered the paper and chipboard pieces on  my background.  I then strung some wooden beads onto twine and embellished the strip of corrugated cardboard with it.

I love all the texture and dimension on this page.
