Sunshine - CSI279 - MME The Sweetest Thing

Hallo there my dear friends.  Today was mid month reveal day on Color Story Inspiration. I do love the challenges and I am so blessed to be part of the design team.  These challenges get you digging into your stash for the perfect colours and the perfect accents to match the evidence in the case files.  Here is my take on this case file:
Supply list:  Patterned paper:  My Minds Eye (The Sweetest Thing); Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter Stickers:  Amy Tangerine (Kal Barteski); Wood veneer hearts: JA Floral; Enamel hearts: Amy Tangerine; Enamel dots:  Nuvo Crystal Drops (Ebony Black); Die cuts and layered stickers:  My Minds Eye (The Sweetest Thing); Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Stamps:  Felicity Jane.

The case file:
I solved the case in the traditional way.

The Scheme:  All colours used.

Evidence:   Evidence: dots, stripes, black and white prints, scallops, hearts, sun and cursive font for title.

Testimony: I used the word "sunshine" as my title.

Some close ups:
This collection have been sitting in my stash for years.  I added strips of black and white paper to it for a sharper contrast.

I added a little Felicity Jane stamped bow to my die cut sun.

A few layered banners and enamel dots and hearts are always the perfect touch.

I adore this Amy Tangerine foam alpha and admit to hoarding it for years.

A few phrases from a song forms the perfect journaling.

Please come and play along with us at Color Story Inspiration.  It is heaps of fun and there are some awesome prizes to be won ♥♥

BEyouTIFUL - Lady Pattern Paper - Bon Crayon

Hello there.  I want to share another page that was created using the beautiful "Bon Crayon" collection from Lady Pattern Paper.  Here is my page using a photo of my granddaughter Leane.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Lady Pattern Paper (Bon Crayon); Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter stickers: American Craft (Doll), Pink Fresh Studio (Dream on); Wood Veneer:  Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Puffy Arrow: Heidi Swapp; Butterflies:  K&Co; Fowers:  Little Birdie, Celebr8; Flair:  Celebr8; Buttons: Dear Lizzy; Enamel dots:  Simple Stories; Embroidery Floss:  DMC; Twine:  WeR Memory Keepers:  Dies: Sizzix.

Preparing my back ground:
I decided on a grid design and then did quite a lot of hand stitching.

Some close ups:
I wanted to use darker accents on this page and decided to go with navy blue and black.

I love how well the sprinkling of embellishments compliments the paper.

I matted my photo on navy blue card stock and then softened the look with a doily from my stash.

I cut circles with a die and cut it in two to make a banner.

I love to create a title with a mix of alpha stickers and a Celebr8 chipboard title was the inspiration for this title.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  Be sure to snag this collection before it sells out. ♥♥

Wild and Free - Maggie Holmes - Dusty Attic

Hello there.  I was so very blessed to have the beautiful Knysna Loerie visit my garden earlier this year.  I took a lot of photos and got this page scrapped using two of them.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Maggie Holmes (Gather), Lady Pattern Paper; Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard title:  Dusty Attic; Chipboard frame:  Dusty Attic; Chipboard:  Maggie Holmes (Gather); Chipboard hearts: Pink Fresh (Indigo Hills); Enamel hearts:  Crate Paper (cute girl); die cuts:  Maggie Holmes (Gather); Mediums:  Finnabair Texture Paste, Lindy's Embossing powder, Nuvo Embossing Powder;  Stencil:  Prima; Border punch:  Ek Success.

Some close ups:
I very seldom use a coloured cardstock, but this soft pink was perfect.  I added the crackle texture paste through the stencil and it was just perfect.

I heat embossed the little frame with Nuvo (Glacier White) embossing powder and tucked a die cut flower behind it.

I heat embossed the "Wild and Free"  title with Midnight Teal embossing powder.

This page was just perfect to embellish with the Maggie Holmes chipboard birds.

Another Maggie Holmes Chipboard flower tucked in behind the photo...and finished with a sprinkling of gold enamel hearts.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today...I do hope you found some inspiration here. ♥♥

I busted some of my stamps out to use as extra embellishing on my background.
