You colour my world - August 2016 Hip Kit - Crate Cute Girl

Hallo....have I told you that I just love discovering beautiful goodies in my older stash.  I am still working on my August 2016 Hip Kit and loving every moment.  You probably noticed that rainbows are all the rage these this is my attempt at a rainbow layout.  I used a photo taken on my birthday last year with my children and children-in-grace.  I did not want the photo to compete with the colours and therefore changed it to black and white.

Supply list:  Patterned papers: Crate (Cute Girl); Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter Stickers:  Pink Fresh Studio (black), American Craft (Carefree); Chipboard:  Crate Cute Girl; Puffy Stickers:  Crate Cute Girl; Embroidery Floss: DMC Variegated; Ink:  Distress Ink (Picked Strawberry, worn lipstick, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Story Sky); Stencil:  Celebr8; Border Punch:  Fiskars; Other:  Silhouette Cameo.

Some close ups:
 Love the dimension.

I used distress ink through a stencil around the edges of my background to echo the colours of the rainbow heart.

Stitching around the edges of the heart and the puffy XOXO sticker was perfect for the corner.

I love rediscovering my older stash and making pretty things with it.

They do Colour my world.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.
Are you scrapping your stash? You might have some gems buried there.

  1. You certainly rocked using this older kit! I could not imagine it was 2 years old at all! And you know I think your heart is just the 'ant's pants'... I love the contrast to the photo & now I can see close up, those little puffy stickers....YUMMO!!!!
