Love Story - Prima Moon Child

Hallo there my friends.  I decided to break into the beautiful Prima Moon Child collection this weekend.  It has a lot of dark and purple colours and the challenge is to tone it down a bit.  I used a "selfie" of  my love and me.
Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Prima (Moon Child) and Prima (Epiphanie); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard:  Prima (Love Story); Bling:  Prima (Moon Child); Flowers: Prima (Moon Child); Die cuts: Prima (Moon Child); Embroidery Floss:  DMC Variegated; Ink:  Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers); Stencil:  Prima; Dies:  Cottage Cuts; Stickels: Magenta; Other:  Doily from my stash.

You all know that I love using sketches:

The details:
I used a sheet of Prima Epiphanie to bring in another colour and used Peacock Feathers distress ink through a Prima crackle stencil to add the turquoise to the layout.

I fussy cut the butterfly and added magenta stickels to it.

The chipboard title and hearts were also taken from the Love Story collection.

I added some Peacock Feathers distress ink to some of the flowers to mimic the blues in the paper.  The beautiful leaves are a Cottage Cuts die.

I love how it all turned out.  I also added some of my signature style hand stitching to the page.  I adore the beautiful variegated multi coloured thread that is available.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you found some inspiration here ♥♥

Sea Treasures - Penelope Dee - Paradise

Hello my crafty friends,  I have quite a few pages that I have created that I still need to share.  Today I am sharing a page with photos of 2014.  We were at Plettenberg Bay and the red tide killed off a lot of sea creatures and I was so blessed to pick a many pretty Pansy Shells.  That needs to be recorded...right?  I used the gorgeous Penelope Dee Paradise collection for this page.

Supply list:  Patterned papers:  Penelope Dee (Paradise); Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard:  Penelope Dee (Paradise); Flowers: Prima; Enamel Dots:  Nuvo Crystal DropsInk:  Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick, Dusty Concord, Stormy Sky);  (Wedgewood blue); Mixed mediums: Lindy's Midnight Teal embossing powder, WOW bright white embossing powder, 13Arts Iridescent white glitter, Border punches: Fiskars, XCut; Stamp:  Penelope Dee; Other:  Sisal, Silhouette Cameo seaweed cuts.

Sketch inspiration:

Some close ups:
I used a lot of fussy cut elements.

I used sisal underneath my flowers for extra texture.

The Penelope Dee chipboard title was heat embossed.

I really adore this collection...nearly as much as I adore the beach.

The coral was stamped and coloured with distress inks.

Here you can see the dimension and the shiny bits.
