Summer Sun - Art from the Heart

Hello there my crafty friends.  I was so honoured when Tracy Schimper, owner from Art from the Heart sent me a parcel of her latest papers to play with.  We are using it for the Scrapbook Studio Retreat next week, but I decided to make another page to share now.  I actually scraplifted a layout that I did a while back and documented photos taken on the last day of 2017 when we visited the beach to watch the sun set on 2017.  Here is my page:

Supplies used:  Patterned papers:  Art from the Heart (Harmony Collection); Cardstock:  American Crafts; Chipboard title:  Celebr8; Chipboard umbrella etc:  Scrapkits; Chipboard seaweed:  Dusty Attic; Enamel dots:  Nuvo Crystal Drops ( Honey Gold); Ink:  Salty Ocean Distress Oxide; Embroidery Floss: DMC; Sequins: Celebr8; Embossing powder:  WOW (Long Island Teal); Die cut:  Prima Doily; Border Punch:  Fiskars, EK Success; Mediums:  Finnabair soft matt gel, Finnabair Art Stones.

Some close ups:
I heat embossed the chipboard title.

I love this soft palette for the beach theme.  The Finnabair Art Stones were added with soft matt gel and mimics the sand.

The Dusty Attic seaweed chipboard was heat embossed and the sequins were added for extra interest.

Do you sometimes scraplift yourself?

Do I have to Adult today? - Secret Scrapbook Event 2018

Hello my Crafty friends.  I want to share the layout that I taught at the recent Secret Scrapbook Event.  We worked with the gorgeous Simple Stories Domestic Bliss collection and the possibilities with this collection is endless.  Here is the class page:

Some close ups:
The leaves are stamped with a floral Heidi Swapp stamp and fussy cut.  It was then combined with sisal and the flowers to form clusters.

I stenciled some distress ink to break the white background.  The chipboard and frame was foiled with Couture Creation's Go Press and Foil machine.

This page has a load of layers and one of the 3x4 cards are used as the title.

The little houses were a perfect accent to this page.

I love the bright and happy colours in this collection.

The page was embellished with stickers from the sticker sheet, the foiled chipboard and some bling.

A reminder that all work and no play is not good for us.

Thank you for visiting my blog today♥♥

The lovely sketch by Karan:

Some close ups:
I cut my patterned papers and stuck it down on card stock.  I then prepared my chipboard embellishment by adding Finnabair Rust pastes to it.

I then stenciled distress ink onto the background.

I find these "lollipop" flowers perfect to use on boy pages. I added epoxy stickers to it's centers.

The "favorite" and "moments" puffy stickers is part of the Noteworthy collection.

Some more rusted stars and a pretty vine die cut was added to complete the page.

Breathe - Lady Pattern Paper - Rainbow Party

Hello there Crafty friends.  I am sharing another page made with this beautiful new collection by Lady  Pattern Paper.  This time I wanted to use the collection to scrap a sunset photo.  I am forever chasing sunsets and I capture them often.
Supply list:  Patterned Paper:  Lady Pattern Paper; Cardstock:  American Craft; Chipboard title:  Dusty Attic, Crafty Arts; Bling: Crystal Stickers; Pearls: W&M; Flowers: Pima; Embroidery Floss:  DMC;  Embossing Powder:  WOW; Border punch: Martha Stewart.

I used this sketch by Laura Whitaker as inspiration:

 Some close ups:
I cut a quarter inch of the edges of the beautiful Boogie Woogie paper and backed it on solid blue cardstock.  I pierced holes around the edges to handstitch.

I layered a strip of Bubbly (plaid side),You Sparkle  and Boogie Woogie (stripe).  I matted my photo onto Macho Camo Dazzling Blue and cut some flags from Sparkle (stripes) and Brush Marx & Co Canvas to add to the side of the photo cluster.  I cut the live, love, dream strip from the cut apart sheet to add next to the photo.

I adhered my layers and punched a border from the Macho Camo Dazzling Blue paper to add below the patterned papers.

I added some Novu Crystal Drops to the clusters and finished my page by adding the journaling.

Be sure to check out this delightful new collection at your local scrapbook store.  Thank you for visiting my blog today♥
