Sparkle - Sketchabilities - Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi there friends.  It is such a privilege and pleasure to be part of the Design Team for Sketchabilities.  Please go and check out the reveal for Sketch #150...there is so much inspiration from the team.    I have combined the sketch with the Color Story Inspiration case file #255.  Here is my take on the sketch:

Supply list:  Patterned paper: Cocoa Vanilla Studio (Bohemian Dreams); Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter Stickers: Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Chipboard title:  Celebr8; Bling: My Minds Eye; Flowers: Bo Bunny; Flair: Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Enamel hearts: Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Die cuts: Cocoa Vanilla Studio; Ink:  Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord); Texture Paste: Finnabair; Stencil:  Tim Holtz; Stamps:  Prima, Felicity Jane; Border punches: XCut, EK Success, Martha Stewart; Embossing Powder:  WOW; Other:  Sisal fibres.

Sketch 150
 The CSI case file:

Here is how I solved the case file:

The Scheme:  All 5 colours used.

Evidence:  Solid white background, scallops, stripes, hearts, dots, circles, decorative border, starburst, texture paste, heat embossing.

Testimony:  I used the title "Sparkle".  My journaling reads as follows:  "Two arms full of love, Juan and Stefan - 26 May 2013.  "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance." Psalm 16:8

Some close ups:

I cut some frames from patterned paper to be part of my layers.  I mixed distress ink into my texture paste and applied it through a Tim Holtz stencil.

I dusted off my stamps and added the stitched circles with the Prima stamp and the little starbursts with Felicity Jane stamps.

I love the added texture that the punched borders add to this page.

I layered some flower ephemera, sisal and Bo Bunny Flowers...and here you can see my journaling.

The bottom left cluster is a mix of pennants, sisal and flowers.  I love layering the diecut flowers with the vellum flowers.

I added silver metallic drops by My Minds Eye and heat embossed the title in Silver.  It is the perfect accent colour.
