Carefree - Felicity Jane Alexis

Hi there my crafty friends.  I am sharing a page that I made using the beautiful Felicity Jane Alexis kit.  I saw the coolest Pagemap sketch and decided to use it as inspiration for this page of my one and only granddaughter Leane.  Here is my page:

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Felicity Jane Alexis; Cardstock: American Craft; Vellum: American Craft; Wood veneer hearts:  Studio Calico; Chipboard title: Celebr8; Flair: Felicity Jane; Puffy dots:  Felicity Jane; Die cuts:  Felicity Jane; Embroidery Floss: DMC Variegated; Embossing Folder:  Couture Creations (Scattered Notes); Embossing Powder:  Lindy's Gang, Dies: Sizzix; Stamps:  Felicity Jane (Brie)

The sketch that inspired me:

Some close ups:
I started by cutting a butterfly with the Silhouette Cameo to use as a template for my wonky stitched butterfly.  I then added the two strips of patterned paper to the middle of the page before tracing the butterfly.

I then decided to cut a smaller butterfly from the soft pink patterned paper and another even smaller one from vellum.  I then embossed the vellum paper before adding the pieces inside the stitched butterfly wings.

You already know that I always mat my photo on a few different coloured cardstock papers.  I just love to make my photo stand out from it's background.

I heat embossed the wood veneer hearts and the title.

I just love the dimension...and I added foam dots between each layer to show it off better.

The stamping was done using the stamp set of the Felicity Jane Brie kit.

The two circles were cut from journaling cards.

I love how this turned out.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I trust that I could inspire you to create...it is the best therapy ever.
