My Happy Place - Felicity Jane Willow

Hi there,  I took the photo that I am scrapping today with my cellphone in the golden hour just before sunset.  Since we bought time share at Beacon Isle in 2006, this has become the place where I switch off totally.  The setting is beautiful and being close to the beach has an amazing affect on calms and soothes me in a way that is difficult to describe.  I used the beautiful papers from the FJ Willow kit because it compliments the colours in the photo perfectly.

Supply list:  Patterned papers:  Felicity Jane Willow:  Cardstock: American Craft; Rubber charms: Felicity Jane (Caroline); Foam stickers;  Felicity Jane (Mila); Die cuts:  Felicity Jane (Willow); Enamel dots: Nuvo Crystal drop (Wedgewood blue); Embroidery Floss: DMC; Ink: Distress Ink (Tattered Rose, Squeezed lemonade); Flourish Stencil:  Scrapbook Studio, Lace Stencil: Tim Holtz; Glitter: Crazy Crafts; Border Punch: XCut; Doily: stash.

I used this sketch by Laura Whitaker:

Some close ups:
Some layering.

I LOVE this border punch.  I fussy cut the floral from the floral paper in this collection.  You can also see the stenciling that breaks the white background.  The little black rubber heart covers a mistake made with the Nuvo Crystal drops.

Lots of paper layers outlined in black ink to create separation.  The "my happy place" is a rubber charm and the "this"is a foam sticker.  Love the combination of textures.

My page wouldn't be complete without some hand stitching somewhere.
The glittery white flourish is better seen in real life and doesn't show up well on the photo.

A different angle.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.  I hope you found some inspiration here ♥♥
