Oupa and Ouma's House - CSI252

Hallo there.  I have been struggling to shake the flu virus this past week and that is also why it took me nearly a week to complete this page.  I am playing along with the traditional clues of the latest Color Story Inspiration case file.  I love the fresh look of the yellows, grey, black and white.  Here is my page:

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  My Minds Eye, Teresa Collins, Celebr8, Felicity Jane (Zoey); Cardstock: American Craft; Letter Stickers: Basic Grey; Tiny Alpha; Studio 112; phrase stickers: Teresa Collins, Accetate Word:  Felicity Jane (Zoey); Brads: Teresa Collins; Enamel Hears: My Minds Eye, Bella Blvd; Enamel dots: My Minds Eye; Labels: Pretty Little Studio; Die cuts: Felicity Jane (Zoey); Twine: WeR Memory Keepers; Lemur image:  Katie Howard;  Embroidery Floss: DMC;  Ink:  Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Black Soot); Other mediums: Finnabair light paste; Stencil: Prima; Dies: Sizzix circle dies; Border punch: EK Success; Doily: Stash.

I used Laura Whitaker's latest sketch for My Creative Scrapbook:

The CSI case scheme and scene:

Here is how I solved the case file:

The Scheme:  I used all 5 colours.

Evidence:  stripes, dots, tiangles, circles, doily, alphabet as a design element, metal(brads), animals (lemurs), hearts.

Testimony:  I used the inspiration word:  "Fun" on my page and I documented something about my home.  My title is "Oupa and Ouma's house where cousins go to become BEST FRIENDS.  It always makes my heart glad to see how my grandchildren love each other.  They play togetherr irrespective of how big the age gaps are."

Some close ups":
This page was a real "stash busting" experience.  I used a very old My Minds Eye paper as a mat for my page.  The grey diagonal is from an old Teresa Collins collection, the yellow/green dotted paper is Celebr8 and all the other papers are from Felicity Jane's Zoey collection.  The brads are also from an old Teresa Collins collection.  The little Lemur has a story.  Katie Howard of Australia is trying to make it become a new worldwide trend...and I took on the challenge to use her image.

My large this Basic Grey grey alphas.

Another little lemur sitting on a lollipop flower.

I am so glad I photographed these two monkeys...they were so funny.

 My journaling.

Here you can see both of the little lemurs on the page.  A really fun little element.

I like to photograph my layout at this angle to show dimension and sparkly bits.
