Love your Laugh - Lady Pattern Paper

Hi there,  today I am sharing a page I made for Lady Pattern Paper using Bernike's beautiful new "Red Pop" release.  I printed out these older photos of my grandson, Stefan a while ago and it was on my desk when the pretty new red paper release arrived on my doorstep. I wanted to use the three photos on the same page and that always poses a challenge when I make a single page. Stefan is wearing a green top in the photos and I, therefore, decided to use the Liewe Hexie Green Chartreuse (LPP0042) paper as a contrasting colour.

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Lady Pattern; Cardstock:  American Craft; Letter Stickers;  Basic Grey (Red), American Craft Charm (kraft with gold fleck); Wood Veneer:  Studio Calico; Chipboard house and camera: Teresa Collins; Tag: Teresa Collins;  Brads:  Teresa Collins; Enamel dots: Nuvo Crystal drops (Ebony Black); Enamel hearts: My Minds Eye; Buttons: Teresa Collins; Puffy Stars: Bella Blvd; Tiny word phrases:  Tim Holtz; Embroidery Floss: DMC; Ink: Distress Ink (Walnut Stain, Antique linen); Stencil: Prima.

I used this sketch by Rochelle Spears:

Some close ups:
I matted the three photos on white and black cardstock and started working on my layers. From the back, I layered the B-side of Flourish Red Pop (LPP0066) and Liewe Hexie Green Chartreuse (LPP0042). I cut a banner from the Stripey Stripes Red Pop (LPP0070) and layered that before adding the very pretty Happy Hearts Red Pop (LPP0067) directly under my photos.

I outlined the patterned papers in black ink to create separation. I then prepared my white cardstock background by applying some antique linen Distress ink through a crackle type stencil. I glued down my paper stack and photos and then the fun began with searching my stash for the perfect embellishments to accompany the pretty papers. My final step was adding the black Nuvo Crystal drops to create enamel dots and the cross stitching on the top and bottom of the page.

This quote was perfect for these photos.  You can see that I broke my white background with some antique linen distress ink and a stencil.

I love to use a mix of alphas for my titles and the embellishments used on this page has been sitting in my stash for many years.

I love to see the dimension of a page and this shot shows it perfectly.

I hope that this page will inspire you to pick up some of the lovely basic colours that is available at your local scrapbook stores.  Lady Pattern Paper is a basic we all need in our stash.  Thank you for visiting my blog today ♥♥
