Joy - Lady Pattern - CSI 243

I just love it when a collection that I am working with are perfect to use for a challenge.  When I saw the colours in the Color Story Inspiration case file 243 I knew that the Lady Pattern (Good Times and Tan Lines combined with the Basic Essentials) papers would be a perfect fit.  I dug into my stash to find "evidence" needed according to the case file.  The result is a little out of my normal clean line comfort zone...but I am thrilled with how it came together.  The case file calls for winter elements and it is amusing that I made a beach page😃

Supply list:  Patterned paper:  Lady Pattern Basically Textured Fency So Buff; Lady Pattern Good Times and Tan Lines Little Bikini, Lime Times, Hello Cards Intense Teal and Green Chartreuse (for matting);  Cardstock: American Craft; Chipboard title:  Celebr8, Chipboard shells:  Blue Fern Studio; Sequins and charm: stash; Embroidery Floss: DMC; Mists: Prima Color Bloom (splatter); Other mediums: Finnabair Patina Paste, Studio 490 Embossing paste, Finnabair Metallique wax (old silver); Wow embossing powder; Dies: Memory Box.

The case file:
This is how I solved the case:

The sketch:  Used as inspiration.

The Scheme:  All 5 colours used.

Evidence:  Solid background, silver, frames, hang something, circular elements, glitter

Testimony:  I used the Inspiration word "Joy" as my title and my journaling is a quote by Susan Gale: "You only need to stand near the ocean to feel the power of the universe and closeness to the One who created it."

Some close ups:
I applied some texture paste to the Lady Pattern Basically Textured Fency So Buff background.  I cut my patterned papers and matted it on some of the Hello Cards Intense Teal and Green Chartreuse.  I hung a little silver shell charm from my title word.  The title was covered in black diamond glitter stickels.

The white chipboard circle was heat embossed with brilliant white WOW embossing powder.  I applied patina paste in blue and green to the chipboard shells and then rubbed some Metallique old silver wax to it.

The little chipboard shapes were the insides of chipboard panels that I heat embossed with brilliant white.  I added the Memory Box Loopy rings and scattered some matching sequins.

I love the texture of this page and that is proof enough that it is good to sometimes go out of your comfort zone.

Here you can see the sparkly bits and the dimension of the layers.
