9 Today - CSI240 - Teresa Collins

Hi there,  I am playing along with Color Story Inspiration's case file 240 today.  For this colour challenge I dug into my older stash and put together some papers from Teresa Collins Summer Stories collection and some other American Craft papers.  I decided on documenting a birthday and chose Lukas' 9th birthday photo.  Here it is:

Supply list:  Patterned papers:  Teresa Collins (Summer Stories), Pebbles, American Crafts;  Cardstock:  American Craft:  Wood Veneer:  Teresa Collins, Brads:  Teresa Collins; Enamel dots:  My Minds Eye; Stencil:  Scrapbook Studio; Embossing Paste:  Wendy Vecchi; Acrylic Paint: Opal Magic Blue-Pink - Art Alchemy; Gold splatters:  Twinkling H2O Solar Gold.

The case file:
This is how I solved the case file:

The Scheme:  All 5 colours used.

Evidence:  polka dots, stripes, stars, cupcake (photo), texture paste, scallop, something dangling (papr clip with star banner,, enamel dots.

Testimony:  I documented Lukas' 9th birthday and I used a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson as my journaling.  “This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.”

Some close ups:
I heat embossed all the wood veneer elements with gold embossing powder.

I mixed some Art Alchemy Opal magic pink-blue into the embossing paste before applying it to my white background.

I used a paper clip that was part of the latest Paige Evans Turn the Page collection and just replaced the banner part with a matching patterned paper.

I loved adding lots of layers behind my photo...and I outlined the papers before distressing it.

I love the way the quote completes the page perfectly.

Here you can see all the dimension and the lovely gold shiny bits.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today♥♥
