What is not to LOVE - Blue Fern Studios

This is my second attempt at the Blue Fern Studios sketch for June.  I wanted to use THIS photo and it just didn't work with the papers I selected for the first attempt.  While I was going through my stash to decide which of the old kits will be ear marked for "give aways" over the next few months...I came across an old Swirlydoos kit of October 2009...yes I have stash going back to that date :-P  It was an autumn kit and I just loved how the colours combined with my photo...what do you think?  Stefan with all his sleeping buddies.

Supply list:  Patterned papers:  SEI (Autumn bliss), My Minds Eye (Necessities); Cardstock: American Craft; Letter Stickers: Tiny alphas by Making Memories; Chipboard: Blue Fern Studios (dangle, bricks, title); Bling: Kaiserkraft; Flower: Prima; Brad: Making Memories; Flair: Adri du Preez; Die cuts: Silhouette cameo; Mists: Prima Colour Bloom (Summer Sky, Gold Foil); Stamps: Bo Bunny, Kaisercraft, Marion Smith; Texture paste: Daler-Rowney; Stencil: Crafters Workshop.

The sketch:

Some close ups:
I used one large photo instead of the two on the sketch.

I love how die cut flowers don't look too feminine for boy pages...and one can always add bling ;-)

I just inked the bricks and bits with some Creamy Brown Color Box chalk ink.

The dangle was originally embossed...but it didn't go so well with these papers...so I just gesso'ed over it.  Love Adri's flair...if you want to see her latest catalogue...just leave me your e-mail address in the comments section.  She makes the most awesome flair.
What is not to love  indeed....

Thank you for visiting and your kind comments are appreciated.

xx
