Wet Kisses - cardstock challenge - Scrap Africa

Hi my dear friends.  This week the challenge at Scrap Africa is a cardstock challenge.  That means that you are not allowed to use any patterned papers.  You can take cardstock, paint it, stamp it and alter it to use on your layout.  I kept my layout relatively simple as I am still new to mixed media.
Supplies used:  Cardstock:  Bazzill and American Craft; Alpha: American Craft and Silhouette; Border punch: Martha Stewart; Flowers: Prima.

I first took the aqua paper and stenciled circles onto it using gesso.  I then "carefully" splattered glimmer mist to mess it up.  I cut the white embossed cardstock to 8.5x8.5 inch and matted it on brown 8.75x8.75 inch brown cardstock.
I punched the holes for the swirls then stitched the swirl.  I cut the "kisses" part of the title with my Silhouette.
I cute the sun from cardstock with the Silhouette.
I punched five different colours of cardstock borders and layered them below the white and brown matted square and finished it off with a row of Prima blooms.

Please visit Scrap Africa and see the beautiful layouts and projects that were made by the design team using cardstock.  If you play along this month, there are 2 super prizes up for grabs!
One random prize is this giveaway from Patricia. Blooms are certainly a scrappers best friend! :-)

Then we have another super random prize and that is a $35.00 voucher from Zeus and Zoe.
Please check out this wonderful etsy shop!

Thanks so much to Marivic for this wonderful voucher!

You have until the 31st March to submit your projects and we really look forward to seeing your creations.
