Sheer Delight - Studio Calico Dec kit - Sketch N Scrap

Hi friends, the 15th January Sketch N Scrap sketch  challenge has gone live on their blog.  It is a relative new sketch challenge blog...please go and see the lovely layouts made by the Design Team.

Here is my layout based on Brenshevia's sketch:
Supplies used:  The Studio Calico December kit. Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: Studio Calico Tim and Beck, Studio Calico Constellation, Crate Paper Sleigh Ride - Deck the Halls; Badge: Flair; Brads: Dear Lizzy; Chevron pattern, zigzag pattern, hello speech bubble and stars: Silhouette; Chipboard Word bubble: Pebbles; Alphabet: October Afternoon: Midway.

After the fiasco last year when my DH dressed up as Santa for the children and they were not fooled, we decided this year to get somebody that they don't know to play the part...so just imagine their delight when they went into the garden to look for Santa with their Oupa...and found him.  The look on their faces is something I will never forget.

I cut the chevron block in the background, the ric rac pattern and the star with the Silhouette.  I love this awesome alphabet by October Afternoon (Midway)

The brads are by Dear Lizzy.

The delicate cuts made by the Silhouette is absolutely amazing.

Here is Brenshevia's sketch.

  9. It really is sheer delight. The title is so appropriate, and at least this year the grandkids didn't have oupa as Santa :) ;)
