It's like living in the country...

...for Lukas and Christian. On Monday afternoon Nadia went walking with the boys on their bicycles in the area where their small holding is located.  They came across Roxy the pig sleeping next to the road.
They decided to sit and wait for Roxy to wake up
Waiting is a boring thing to do.
But eventually Christian managed to coax Roxy into getting up.
She is rather large this little piggie.
Needless to say...the boys now want to add a pig to their already growing number of pets.
Please mommy....can we keep her?
Very pleased with themselves.
Then they started on their way back home with Roxy following;-)

This two little boys are so fortunate to have the freedom of living in the country...and still living in a city.

  2. Wow, that is so super cool. But who does Roxy belong to? And why was she sleeping on the side of the road I wonder?

  3. Aww, this is so cute!! I love it!! These boys will have many benefits in life growing up with both the experience of living in a city and the countryside!! But I agree with the lady above, whose piggie is Roxie?! :)

  4. LOL! It would appear that Roxy is a free range pig. She belongs to one of Wynand and Nadia's neighbours. The area have their own neighbourhood watch...and regularly the airways are buzzing with news of where Roxy is and to watch out for her. Famous little piggie.

I think I will stick to cats though. Great photos.

  6. Sweet photos! Roxy must get a lot of attention around the neighborhood to be this tame and gentle. So great that the boys get to experience both worlds!! ~ Blessings, Tracey

  8. Ideal living I tell you, seriously the best of both worlds. Wonder if their parents would oblige and let them have a pet pig. I know I wouldn't oblige because I'll be cleaning up not them ;) :)
