Blogging break

I haven't done a "Blog your heart" post for months and don't even know where to start;-)

  • My life is SUPER HECTIC at work.  Our office lady and our center manager left at the beginning of April, since then I have been buried under paper work and having to implement new systems, close loopholes etc.
  • Needless to say I cannot face a computer or the internet when I get home...all I want to do is crash and retreat into my "nothing box" or cuddle with my little grandson.
  • The sad thing is that this means that I don't have time to go blog hopping and catching up with what is going on in my favorite bloggers' lives.  I cannot see this changing in the near future.
  • I also signed up for two online courses this year and haven't been able to start with The Art of wild abandon.  I took part in the first two months of Scrapbook Life Journal and then life happened:-(
  • We had a fundraiser at the Mission this past weekend to raise funds for Education.  Our junior and senior girls took part in a fashion show and a Jr and Sr Miss Vistarus was chosen.  The girls loved it.
  • Things are going well in our family, little Stefan is two months today, B will be back at work from Monday (which will hopefully solve some of my admin woe's)
  • My next little grandson will be born within the next three weeks and our life just become fuller with little ones to love and cuddle.
  • I was sad to hear that Sketch Support will be taking a break for a while, but I now realize that it is a blessing in disguise and I will be relieved of some of the pressure where my scrapping commitments is concerned.
  • I will still be posting my commitments for Scrap Africa twice a month and I will do the odd photo post.
  • When I eventually get back to sharing my heart here I hope that I will be refreshed and inspired.
xx

  1. Shame my friend, I can hear how bogged down you are.

Life goes through its ups and downs, ebbs and lows and this is one of those periods for you.

Am sure once B is back you'll be relieved of some of your admin woes.

But sometimes taking a break from the internet isn't such a bad thing xx

  5. I totally hear where you are coming from. Whole different set of issues going on over here but I have not been blogging either. I took part of yesterday and caught up on a few of my favorite blogs but I felt bad and I had so many to see I didn't even leave any love behind. I hope you enjoy your time away, get caught up at home and at the mission. I know you will be enjoying your family and all those new grandbabies and I look forward to when you get back in the swing of things. Perhapse my life will be back to semi-normal by then too. Big giant hugs my friend. Sending you love from here.

  7. Take time to nurture yourself, you can only be as strong as you are and when you are constantly looking after other people, you need to look after yourself in order to look after them. Rest, recouperate and we look forward to seeing you back in blogland when that time comes. Much love xx

  16. I can totally relate. I want to take a break too, I have so much on my plate I am exhausted. I never have time to do nothing - just eat, sleep, work and a bit of obligatory exercise. No longer inspiring - just depressing...

  17. Oh Lynette, I feel your struggle! Life tends to bog you down- lately, I have been too tired to look at photos, take phots and certainly not scrap them! I think a break or a deep breath or two can revitalize our minds and our passion! Enjoy your family, I am sure they are the inspiration and break you need! How cute is your new grandchild! You can almost smell the newborn scent over the computer :)

  21. I've had a few of those blessing come my way, too, to lessen the load I'm facing each day. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has signed up for online classes and not finished them (or even started). :)
