Backyard play

At last I am back to having a project lying on my desk.  I am so very blessed to have my own space where I can just close the door when my desk becomes messy.  I have found that when I have a project in process the chances are that I will work on it when I have a few minutes  to spare... so this works for me.  This week I really needed to get creative (a little bit).  This is when my mind calms down and I can start putting things into perspective.  The hands are busy and I get time to process a lot of things in my head.
I didn't plan this page very well...I knew I wanted to colour block...and this is how it turned out.
I love it when my photos tell the story.  The little sticker that says "there's no better view than from a swing" was so fitting for this group of photos.  All the products used on these two pages are American Craft Dear Lizzy City Park.

Thank you for looking and have a lovely weekend.

xx

  2. You have a lovely blog, Lynette. The photography is excellent, the writing is lucid and your family are cute. It was fun reading your posts. (I found you through your comment on Wendy's blog.)

Congratulations on your recent birthday. I'm three years ahead of you. I thought the 50's would be scary but, so far, they're okay. :)

I wrote a blog-post last month about fashion in the 1950's and am developing one now on fashion in the 1970's. I saw your bob-hairdo from that period and was wondering if you'd let me use that picture in my post. Of course I'd include a credit linking to your blog. If you prefer I didn't use it, that's fine.

Thanks for the window into your world. :)

  10. Lynette first of all I want to say to you happy birthday! sorry for being selfish but looking at you I can't help but to wish - not to you, but to myself :-))) to be just as young and beautiful when I will reach this number! you are truly amazing person - inside and outside!
and I just love these LO of yours! it is very much like you - bright, sunny and beautiful :-)))
and about the canopy tour. this one next to us is a bit different from the rest - you don't slide from one tree top to the other. It is located in the river gorge between its walls, and you are sliding over the river and waterfalls. friend of ours did almost all of them in the country, and he said that this one in Magoebaskloof is the most spectacular one
