Being creative

I have scrapped a few pages this weekend and found that my style has once again changed.  I  scrap much simpler and with less embellishments.  I KNOW I haven't put any journaling on these layouts, but will do it before I file it in albums...so cut me some slack...okay?
This photo was taken last year in December when Leane spent the afternoon with me.  She usually insists on coffee when she gets here, and I am too happy to oblige.
Kobus Jr. and his two little treasures in our pool.  My scanner always manage to distort the colours and chop off one of the edges...so these layouts don't show the true colours.
Lukas reminds me of laughter and sunshine...and yellow just seem to catch the mood so well.  Here is is with Wynand.
Leane and her daddy is inseparable.  It warms my heart to watch the two of them and see how much pleasure they get from just being together.
I had to take part in a challenge and left it too late...this layout was done in 30 minutes with old photos taken of Wynand and Tinkie in 1996.  It still makes me smile to look at them sleeping together.

xoxo

  2. I think you've done a fantastic job. The last one is delightful, showing that we really don't just have to scrap the new stuff.
    Consider your slack cut, ok?

  15. I love your work, you can see the love you feel for each person in each layout!!!

You know what? This is going to sound so silly Lynette. As I was clicking on your blog to come and tell you how much you writing on my blog means to me. Your encouraging ways, I actually paid attention to the name of your blog. Now mind you, I've always seen it when I clicked on it to come to it.. But today it hit me like a tons of bricks! In a good way of course! A work in progress.

Isn't that what we are all about? the progress? The work He is doing in each of our lives. It isn't always about finishing the race, its about the progress through it. Ah. Sweet friend. Your title has warmed my heart because as much as I want certain "races" over in my life I must take the time to enjoy the process of the progress He is making through me each and every turn.

You made me smile today. Your blog made me smile. Your encouragement is something I hold dear to my heart. And your title? What a gentle reminder to enjoy where I am, even through the pain.

    Thank you Lynette!
    Be blessed this weekend!
