Christmas with the Jacobs family!

Christmas Eve

In our family it is tradition to get together on Christmas Eve for a finger supper and then the gifts are exchanged.

Our tree...fibre optic this year.

Leane's amazement at all the gifts.

A little reindeer.

Oupa and Lukas.

Lukas the Reindeer.

Kissing Cousins.

Christmas day.

In our country we have a very warm summer Christmas day. Traditionally we make cold meats (gammon, lamb, chicken drumsticks) and salads. We also have trifle and fruit salad with ice cream for desert.
This year all our children and Nadia's family came to spend the day with us. We had our tables outside under the Lapa (thatch roofed braai area). It is always nice and cool there.
A pic of Bianca's fruit salad.

Trifle the way my Gran used to make it.

The feast.

Cold meats and salads.

Table decorations.

One of the tables.

Yours truly under the lapa.

Guests arriving.

Chatting and enjoy the company.

Little Lukas eating a foot...those teeth will be coming soon.

My two sons, Wynand and Kobus.

Daughter Bianca and Wynand.

Little Leane with her Springbok cap. (I told you she loves hats.) Oh yes, and chocolate for starters.

A Kodak moment.

Me, Bianca and Wynand.
I hope your Christmas day was as blessed and happy as ours.
